Tom Steinkamp-Co Owner

Tom started working full time in May 1982 as an outside salesman for Eastern Iowa. Around 1992 he took over the Des Moines territory and office management. In 1999 Tom and his brother Craig purchased the company from their father Wayne Steinkamp. Today Tom manages the sales, parts and office employees.

     

 
Craig Steinkamp-Co Owner

Craig started working full time in 1983 as an outside salesman for Western Iowa. Not long into his sales career Craig missed his true love for the shop. Hawkeye's Service Manager was retiring and Craig jumped at the opportunity and became the Service Manager. In 1999 Craig and his brother Tom purchased the company from their father Wayne Steinkamp. Today, Craig manages 7-9 shop employees and provides excellent service for Hawkeye's customers.


 
John Jenkins-Parts Manager

John started working for Hawkeye in Oct. of 1991 as the Parts Manager. John's previous life included working in other parts departments and seized the opportunity to become the Parts Manager. When John started in 1991 he was the only parts "guy" working for Hawkeye. Under John's guidance the parts department has experienced substantial growth and now has two parts assistants. John has an enormous amount of knowledge and is always willing to help the customer or other employees any time.

     
 
Christy Hemry-Office Manager

Christy first started working for Hawkeye Truck Equipment in 1999; in 2001 Christy left us to move to Florida. After a short stint in Florida we were fortunate to get her back in October of 2002. Christy is a vital part of our team. Christy handles accounts payable, accounts receivable and all the day to day office challenges and keeps everything running smoothly!!
